How to Explain Heartburn

A lot of words get thrown around that
make it confusing to know what is heartburn,
acid reflux, gastric reflux or
other variations

Heartburn can be an unrelenting annoyance and if you are curious about finding out more, you probably have heartburn. the simplest way to explain heartburn would be to to say to all the common descriptions mean pretty much the same thing. And you can pretty much put heartburn into two categories: 1) Stomach acid that leaks out of the stomach and irritates the esophageal sphincter and food pipe. 2) Long term condition that develops into scar tissue and lesions that are termed chronic heartburn.

Here are points that help to identify your heartburn condition, they have been used before but I'm repeating them because they also apply here.

It's heartburn if...
1) You have this discomforting problem twice a week or more,
2)You carry a roll of Tums or Rolaids with you.
3)Acid reflux frequently interrupts your sleep
4)you have episodes at random times

The issue with heartburn is important because over time it can develop into damaged tissue, ulcers and even cancer. It is a curable condition so why not take the time to find out how it's cured. If heartburn doesn't seem too important at the moment, you're probably right. And after all, it can usually be fixed with the purple pill or laparoscopic surgery, so what's the rush?

So What's The Rush?

This is the part that so many people aren't aware of - what happens years down the road when conditions develop as a result of heartburn that are not so easy to fix. All that excess acid is causing damage day by day. acid vapors, circulated by breathing will cause sinus infections, unhealthy gums, tooth decay, damaged vocal chords and even lung infections. And you thought it was just bad breath.

Later on will come even more serious problems.

The body needs more help than it gets and the way it has of telling you that something is wrong is with heartburn pain.

It doesn't necessarily mean big changes to cure this problem but it does mean doing something. Looking for an explanation is a good start. By learning what can go wrong if left untreated may be just what it takes to get motivated. Get to this point and you are ready to look for a cure that is really a cure.

What's The Answer?

In controlling your heartburn keep in mind that there is an important difference between relief and cure. While some meds offer quick relief from heartburn discomfort, they are not a cure. If you have heartburn episodes more than once a week, you need to consider a more aggressive plan of action. Why not look to a healthy life method of curing heartburn that takes the natural approach.

Dietary strategy plays a big role in overcoming acid reflux, because not only do acids damage the lining of the stomach and esophagus but have an effect throughout the body. Use your daily diet to regulate reflux causing acid.
