Panic Attacks

Finding the way to overcome anxiety is something you can do yourself if you put in the effort. This can take a lot of patience as bad ideas are thrown out and good ideas are perfected. Curing panic attacks is something that can be learned, and like a good many things the smart way to do this is by learning from someone who already knows how. Take a shortcut; follow the techniques of someone who has already done the research and testing, it’s a good way to overcome the attitude-warping problem of anxiety and panic attacks. There is much useful information related to panic attacks to be found.

How I Overcame My Panic Attacks

Why I have to share this story

If you are thinking about drugs or therapy or any other treatment to get rid of your panic attacks you will be interested in what I have to say. It is times like this when you understand how fragile health can be and you‘re not sure where to turn that good information is important. I hope what I’m about to tell you help you regain your health and save you money as well as time.

My first panic attack came right out of the blue. I was with my husband, who was attending a convention in Washington, DC. It was a delightful spring day and we decided to use a break in the schedule to explore this beautiful city. We stepped out of the hotel and had gone less than a block when I was overcome by this awful feeling. The people around me probably thought I was having a heart attack.

At the ER at a nearby University hospital I remember a doctor asking me if I’d had ever had panic attacks before. She said that she had gone over all the test results and could find nothing wrong. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Next she asked if I would I like to stay over a day so they could run more tests. At that point I never felt more frustrated or mixed up in my life.

My name is Darcy Kilmory and like many others who have had their life turned up side down by panic attacks. I have spent months trying to find more about what causes anxiety and what are my options for treating it. I never had a panic attack until that spring day. All through growing up and even college I had always looked forward to new things. There were the usual butterflies in the stomach at important events, but truly nothing that would hint at what I had just experienced.

I tried meds and professional help

Over night my confidence was shattered, my world turned to fear, dread and uncertainty. Getting a diagnosis from a doctor was the first step. It helped to have a professional diagnosis and I have to say I was surprised at some of the things that can trigger anxiety. You can visit Wikipedia for a description of this condition. Next I read everything I could find on dealing with anxiety and taught myself some techniques for warding off attacks.

All the while I was reading up on panic attacks I was having weekly sessions and taking meds. I felt like all this money and effort was necessary if I was to overcome this problem and the feeling that everyone was looking at me as though I had a sickness, which now I see was true.

Why I recommend it

I have to thank my lucky stars and my friend Jenny for showing me the way. At this point I had read so many books about anxiety and panic attacks that I thought that I should have the answers but I didn’t, just some of the answers. Then I read Panic Away and everything started to change. Not overnight, like in the movies, but gradually as I began to see the stressful things in my life that were piling up until that fateful day. Now I am comfortable in any situation. I don’t have any fear of business meetings, traveling or any of the stressful things because I have learned how to control my anxiety.

Now I can look back on my notes and see how my attitude began to change. It was soon after I downloaded Panic Away as I began to realize that this wasn’t like the other self-help solutions, this was really a complete picture approach to dealing with anxiety.

It was then that my whole outlook began to improve and I started to feel like my old self. I knew I had reached a milestone when friends started to remark on my positive nature. I recommend you see for yourself how this wonderfully simple approach can take the worry out of panic attacks.
